Son of Geese Howard, raised by Terry Bogard after Geese allowed himself to die from falling from his own tower. Rock learned moves from both Terry and inherited some trademark moves from his father.

Fans often pair him with Type-Moon's Arima Miyako since they are both adoptees of their respective families (Rock being the Bogards, Miyako being the Tohno).
