シェフィールド(アズールレーン) シェフィールド シェフィールド(μ兵装) 谢菲尔德 셰필드
Azur Lane's personification of the cruiser HMS Sheffield (C24). In the same vein as many other Royal Navy light cruisers, Sheffield is portrayed as a maid.
Character design by Maya G, voiced by Kohara Konomi.
Appearance and personality
See gelbooru #4688712.
Her physical appearance consists of blonde hair rings framing dull yellow eyes and pale skin. Her outfit is also much more modest, revealing no cleavage like many other Royal maids, with a cross hanging from her neck. Her breasts are usually portrayed as smaller than her counterparts (with most fanart torn between small and medium breasts), though she bears no envy over it.
Unlike the other maids, Sheffield is much more serious about her duties and is very sharp-tongued and caustic towards the Commander. She refuses to give into the lewd antics that the others (such as Sirius) finds themselves involved in. She also specializes in espionage and special operations duties, emphasized in the anime, which also reveals her somewhat ironic status as a different breed of commando.
History
In real life, Sheffield was the third of the Southampton-class light cruisers, the first group of the Town-class. She earned the nickname "Shiny Sheff" on account of the fact that her interior fittings were done in stainless steel instead of brass, rare in the Royal Navy.
She took part in the sinking of Bismarck, Arctic convoys, the battles of the Barents Sea and North Cape, the Salerno landings, and Victorious' attempts to sink Tirpitz. Consequently, she attained 12 battle honours.
Post-war, consideration was given to turn her to a museum ship as she largely remained unchanged from her war years but she had deteriorated in reserve so Belfast was selected instead. She was scrapped in 1967.
