- Slogans promoting a cause as the center of attention and purpose of a picture.
- Slogans found on various clothing a character is wearing.
- Glorification of a particular political ideology, nation, individual, or race. Either real or fictional.
- Satire and parody of the above.
Not to be mistaken for advertising, which is promotion of commercial products and services for the sole purpose of generating revenue, securing market share or cultural popularity.
