A double-edged knife used for stabbing or thrusting. They are often a secondary defense weapon in close combat.
The difference between a dagger and a knife is that daggers are double-edged or edgeless and intended primarily or exclusively for stabbing, while knives are usually single-edged and intended primarily for cutting. Many knives and daggers are capable of either stabbing or cutting.
