Commentary implications

Posted under Tags

BUR #638 has been rejected.

create implication english_commentary -> commentary
create implication chinese_commentary -> commentary
create implication japanese_commentary -> commentary
create implication korean_commentary -> commentary

I know dan uses commentary as default Japanese but that's just inbaked institutional knowledge. The AI imagegen sphere is much less Japan centric, we even have more posts with English commentary than we do Japanese commentary. It doesn't make sense to revert to Japanese defaultism here.

Commentary wiki says:

A post where the artist commentary is understandable by the average English speaker.

The average English user does not know Korean or Chinese. If this were to pass, stuff like post #26317 or post #91091 would wrongly get tagged commentary in absolute contradiction of the wiki. A BUR like this should never come to pass unless commentary is completely reworked

What Iroshi said.

english_commentary -> commentary implication does not make sense either because, I quote, literally from the wiki of english commentary:

This tag does not implicate commentary because it covers cases where only part of the commentary is in English, mixed-language commentary for example (Danbooru topic #15162).

As for the japanese commentary situation that is known, that is exactly the reason why I proposed them to be undeprecated and used in AIBooru (topic #241)
